Train Cemetery
Explore the graveyard of the first Bolivian locomotives. This place has lot of history and works well as a giant playground for adults.
Learn about the production of salt in Bolivia. There's a chance to explore around shopping handicrafts and original woolen clothes for good prices. This is the entrance to the Salt Flats.
Salt Flats time! We spend most of the day here. Besides the mirror reflection and perspective photos, we'll see the first hotel made entirely of salt, flag island, Dakar monument, Giant Cacti Island to end up seeing a beautiful sunset in the largest salt desert on earth. After all this, we head to our accommodation.
Welcome to the most visited national park of Bolivia. This is where the famous Red Lagoon is located. We will see thousands of flamingos and a unique landscape. After seeing this attraction, we move to our accommodation.
The tour starts very early at 5:00 am to observe the eruptions of
the Geysers and fumaroles of Sol de Mañana, which is an area
of volcanic activity. Later we will stop by Polkes where the hot springs wait for us to relax and recover energies. The trip continues through the Dali Desert to appreciate unprecedented and surreal rock formations. Then there is a stop at Laguna Verde or Esmeralda (Green Lagoon), a point where you can see the Licancabur Volcano. Finally you will visit San Cristobal Church and
return to Uyuni to arrive at 5:30 p.m. Passengers, who make the transfer to San Pedro de Atacama in Chile, depart directly from Hito Cajones in Bolivia, so they won’t visit San Cristobal.
We wake up super early to see the geysers at their best. This place is located at 4800 m.a.s.l., it could pretty cold but we will start seeing the first rays of morning sun.
Green Lagoon in the south corner of Bolivia. From here, we will be able to see the Licancabur volcano, a natural border between Bolivia and Chile. This is our last attraction before going back to Uyuni. On the way to Uyuni we will make different stops to use toilets or buy snacks and have lunch.
